Contribution to the study of leaf venation of "cerrado" plants Labiatae

Neste trabalho são estudados os padrões de nervação de treze espécies de Labiatae dos Cerrados. As espécies classificam-se segundo a nervação secundária, em três categorias: broquilódroma, camptódroma e mista. Quanto às relações entre margem e nervuras marginais, observamos dois tipos: nervuras marginais paralelas à margem e nervuras marginais com terminações que se destacam para a margem. Encontramos bainha lignificada em duas espécies, uma arbórea e outra herbácea.The venation patterns of 13 species of Labiatae of the "cerrado" vegetation are given. The species fall into three groups according to venation: brochidodrome, camptodrome and mixed. Two types of marginal venation were noticed: marginal veins parallel to the leaf edges and marginal veins which stop at the leaf edge without running parallel to it.
